Solution 3: Install the application in Selective Startup mode

Step 1: Switch to Selective Startup mode

  • Press Win+R to open the Run command.

  • Write msconfig and hit OK.

  • Head over to the General tab.

  • Choose Selective Startup and Load System Services.

  • Click on the Services tab.

  • Choose Hide all Microsoft Services.

  • Tap Disable all.

  • Untick the Hide all Microsoft Services checkbox.

  • Now, hover over the services list.

  • Click on Windows Installer.

  • Tap OK and go to the System Configuration window.

  • Choose Restart.


Step 2: Reinstall QB and switch it back to Normal Startup

  • First, install the QB application again.

  • Open the Run window by pressing Win+R.

  • Write msconfig and go to the General tab.

  • Choose Normal Startup.

  • Click OK and move to the System Configuration window.

  • Choose Restart.
