Install the latest payroll tax tables

  • Open QB and choose the Employee menu.

  • Go to the Get Payroll Updates option.

  • In this window, choose the Download Entire Update checkbox. 



Activate direct deposit in QB

  • Launch QB on your computer.

  • Press F2, followed by F3, to open the Tech Help window.

  • Now, you need to click the Open File tab. 

  • Double-click on the qbw.ini file. Doing this will open the text file.

  • In the text file, go to [QBLICENSE] PAYROLL_BUNDLE_STATE=Y.

  • Switch Y to N and head to File.

  • Choose Save to save the qbw.ini file with the changes you made.

  • Traverse back to QB and access the WF invites or PTC.

  • Access the Payroll Activation window, navigate through the same steps mentioned above, but here you don’t need to change Y to N; instead, delete the whole section: [QBLICENSE] PAYROLL_BUNDLE_STATE=Y]
